Why the birds on this site?
The branding and images of birds on this site are of the Red Kite, a bird of prey native to the UK. Historically associated with towns and cities, it was hunted to near extinction by 1930 but its resurgence since has been a great success. It can now be seen ranging between the Chilterns and the edges of London, and northward up through the home counties including Milton Keynes, where I am based. Highly distinctive with their almost 2 metre wingspan, Kites hunt on the wing, soaring and circling over open ground seeking opportunity.
